Virginia Blue Quartz
The Hidden Gem of the Blue Ridge: Virginia Blue Quartz is an ultra-rare regional treasure. Its captivating color is a natural marvel known as Rayleigh scattering (the exact optical illusion that makes the sky blue). Millions of years of tectonic pressure trapped titanium, manganese, and chlorite inside the quartz matrix. When light hits these microscopic crystals, it scatters, producing a deep, smoky denim glow that shifts subtly in the sunlight. Our artifacts are sourced from a generous private, historic property in western Loudoun County, Virginia. Each specimen is a genuine piece of Virginia geologic history.
